I often sit and wonder
Why did God
In all his splendor
Contrive the creation
Of worthless beings
Such as you and me

The Earth he made
A precious gem
To crown his universe
The birds to beautify the sky
The fish to occupy the rich waters
The animals so picturesque
Amongst green foliage

The heavens and the earth
Testified to his great majesty
But one regret had he

From precious dust
He brought forth man
And since that day
One thing only has been for sure
The destruction of everything
Sacred and pure.
